Summer is wrapping up and I know that we can already feel the air changing as fall approaches. Well, the first half of that sentence is true….the second…helps me get through the 100 degree days!
All of us should now be back in town and many of us are getting ready to start a new school year. This Sunday is Promotion and Bible Sunday (when our kids move up a grade and our third graders receive their Bibles). I want to encourage all of you to be here for this big day!
We will also be starting a new sermon series titled:
The Seven Deadly Sins.
We've all heard of them, but what are they, and what makes them so "deadly"? In this important series we'll explore the insidious nature of these specific sins. We'll see how easily they creep into our lives, and we'll learn how to avoid their grip - or to break free from them. Finally, each week we'll experience powerful reminders of the corresponding virtues, and leave worship strengthened to lead lives of peace, joy and hope.
Here is the order that we will follow in the days ahead:
